Saudi Arabia is going to start importing wheat early next year -- 250,000 tons by next spring. The reason is simple: they need to save water. Underground water levels in Saudi Arabia are dropping by at least 16 feet a year in areas of "heavy" cultivation, according to a U.S. government report. Eventually, the Saudis will probably import all their wheat -- about three million tons a year. This could get expensive -- the price of wheat has more than doubled in the past year. But the Saudis don't care about the price of wheat because water is much more precious than oil in the Middle East.

Over the past 20 years, obesity among adults has risen significantly in the United States. The latest data from the National Center for Health Statistics shows that 30% of U.S. adults (over 60 million people) starting from 20 years of age and older suffer from obesity. Obesity, along with the natural aging progress, has meant that increasing numbers of Americans are carrying excess weight in the form of fat.

To remove these excess fat deposits, people have traditionally turned towards liposuction. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat from deposits located between the skin and muscle. It involves the use of a small stainless steel tube, called a cannula which is connected to a powerful suction pump and inserted into the fat through small incisions in the skin. Fat removal is accomplished as the suction cannula creates tiny tunnels through the fatty layers. After surgery, however, these tiny tunnels collapse, potentially causing numerous side effects.
