When Your Nanny Calls in Sick or Your School Staff Go On Strike

The local school staff are going on strike. What can parents do with the kids? Help! Don't be caught unprepared. Parents can now find sitters in their own neighborhoods by exact distan 2da3 ce from home using the convenient and flexible website MyNannyCalledinSick.com.

“Membership allows parents to create a backup network of caregivers and sitters – people they can trust with the care of their children.” Sheila Kerr, mother of three sons, created a website to provide an easy-to-use and affordable solution for parents in need of child care. “If your nanny calls in sick – you don't have to.” Sheila experienced the last minute cancellation of a nanny and vowed to find a solution. With the help of her husband, she designed a website using open source software with specific geo-location capabilities to connect available babysitters to parents by exact location. This helps parents find a neighbour who is willing and able to help take care of their kids.

Working Capital-Business Financing Stimulates Cash Flow

It is a fact that more businesses need access to a higher cash flow and working capital without adding debt to its balance sheet. This is called "off Balance Sheet Financing," which manifests in two forms: "Factoring" and "Account Receivables Financing." Factoring allows the company to sell more than one invoice to the funding source at one time. However, the funding received by the company is proportionate to the attributes of each separate invoice. Accounts Receivables financing allows the business to open a line of credit, borrowing against the open invoices.

College Seniors' Work Ethic Unchanged Since 1982, According to New Career Counseling Book

In a survey of 19,000 college students by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the willingness to work overtime and travel on weekends matched, almost exactly, the responses of 1982 students.

But today's seniors expressed indignation with online applications, video conferences and job boards -- career devices that didn't exist in 1982 -- as impersonal. And most career quizzes and career counseling books typically fall short in terms of really helping college graduates find their first job.

ERC Dataplus, Inc., a leading provider of web-based human resource application solutions, congratulates Jeffrey Wade, SPHR, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Hersha Hospitality Management, LP for being announced as the Delaware Valley Human Resource Person of the Year. Mr. Wade’s predecessor employer became an ERC client in 1997 and when he joined Hersha Hospitality, one of his first calls was to ERC Dataplus.

“When I joined Hersha in 2006, I quickly realized that in order to implement the talent management vision and strategy that I wanted to put in place, I had to partner with a technology provider that could not only deliver, but do it within our timeframe and budget,” said Jeff. “I turned to ERC Dataplus because of my prior experience working with them. I knew they had a robust and configurable applicant tracking system, Selectech® Workforce Management and their ARGOS® 360 feedback system was ideally suited to assist with our management development initiative. We also use ERC’s technology to do guest satisfaction surveys at our non-branded properties. When we come across a business challenge where an immediate solution is not available, ERC has always been willing to work with us to develop a solution to address those issues. Their Selectech® PAFS(SM), Personnel Action Form System, is such an example. We wanted to eliminate paper and automate the processing of most personnel changes. With Selectech PAFS, we have processed over 5,500 transactions in eight months and are able to not only eliminate paper, but also to incorporate approval management, and insure compliance with our SOX requirements,” he went on to say.

Fashion Jewelry Hall of Fame Inducts Famous Art Deco Jewelry Designer, Jakob Bengel

The most recent inductee, The Jakob Bengel Company, pioneers in Art Deco jewelry design, very nearly faded to obscurity. The story of the company is well worth telling and reading. Their intriguing history, including an alternative use of a technology known as Galalith (milkstone, Milchstein), and a quarter-century search for their roots by two devoted and thorough vintage jewelry collectors, is told in the article, "The House that Bengel Built". A German chain manufcturer of the early twentieth century, Jakob Bengel altered the landscape of costume jewelry with his Bauhaus styling and helped to change forever how the fashion and jewelry world viewed "imitation jewelry". On top of all this, the Jakob Bengel Company is once again re-producing some of their classic Galalith Art Deco jewelry designs, closely following the Bauhaus rule that "form follows function". The article about this fascinating company can be found at the Guyot Brothers website. http://www.guyotbrothers.com/jewelry-history/jewelry-hall-of-fame/bengel/Jakob-Bengel.htm
