Steve Myers has been Director of Software Development at Andromeda Software, a high-end graphics software development firm in West Lake Village, California, for the past 17 years. Although the company uses an outside IT contractor to manage their network, Myers has always been in control of the company's IT decision-making.
"We used to use Symantec's Corporate Edition Anti-Virus on our workstations," noted Myers. "But when our licenses ran out, we were told by Symantec that we would have to switch to the pricier Symantec Endpoint Security solution. We're design software people, not security experts, so we figured we could trust their recommendation and we went ahead and upgraded our workstations to the new product. That's when we started to see problems."

These are some of the essential questions explored in a recently released RetailWire.com/Dechert-Hampe report, "Retail Formats in Transition", the results of the first in a new series of forward-looking studies entitled RETAIL:NEXT.

When he left the Navy in 1999 - which included two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf - Thew looked forward to teaching his youngest son how to throw a football and ride a bike, camping, motorcycling trips and holding down a "normal" 9 to 5 job. When is a Diamond in the Hand Worth More than Two in the Shops?
Since diamonds were first mined in ancient India over 2800 years ago, they have been associated with power, love, wealth and prestige. Ancient Egyptians believed in the power of the diamond and how it could connect love with eternity. Their belief was founded upon Vena Amoris (the vein of love) finger leading back to the heart. By wearing a diamond ring on the Vena Amoris, the ancient Egyptians passionately believed that eternal love could be achieved.
Even today, throughout much of the world, a diamond ring worn on the third finger is viewed as a symbol of the commitment of love. So having found the ‘love of your life’ how do you find the special diamond that is going to symbolise everlasting love?
